Motivation to Teach Social Action:

Much of my work is focused on social action and I would love deepen my practices both in and outside of the classroom.

Course Description:

During this course students will learn how to engage in CPAR projects for the purpose of taking social action on an issue that impacts their community. In addition, they will learn how to work collaboratively, engage in campaigns for social change, and work to create meaningful policy change. Students will interrogate systems of power and privilege to better understand how best to address social issues. This course gives students the opportunity to embody the practices of democracy, while understanding their important roles as active citizens.
