Motivation to Teach Social Action:

I am excited to learn more about how to implement social action as part of my teaching and to translate ideas on social justice into action.

Course Description:

The course addresses several pressing societal and environmental challenges facing our world at this juncture. Since we cannot explore all the world's (in)justices in one term, the course takes a feminist intersectional approach to address a variety of social justice issues including decoloniality/indigeneity, racial capitalism, environmental justice, economic inequality, food security, borders, and militarization. We begin from the premise that any attempt at spatial justice must be rooted in a deeper understanding of colonialism,
