Motivation to Teach Social Action:
I am a clinical assistant professor in social work and have taught courses as they are related to social action and advocating for vulnerable populations within different systems: micro, mezzo, and macro (also, view my bio page on the pnw.edu website). I believe your program will be beneficial in further developing our institution wide initiative for this coming academic year.
Course Description:
The PNW Interdisciplinary Student Ambassadors in Sustainable Development Program is a two-semester initiative (Fall 2025-Spring 2026) designed to integrate the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with environmental communication, social policy, integrative humanities, digital humanities, and community engagement. This program aims to foster leadership and advocacy among students, equipping them with the tools to address global challenges through interdisciplinary collaboration and social action.
