Motivation to Teach Social Action:
I am interested in the exchange of ideas and perspectives that can enhance the work we do with our students as we all seek to develop the belief in our agency and abilities to improve our communities.
Course Description:
This course prepares future educators to teach effectively in today's classrooms. As student populations reflect our national demographics, teachers need essential skills to create responsive learning environments. Students will explore cultural formation processes, examine how cultural backgrounds shape educational experiences, and develop instructional approaches that honor different perspectives. The course addresses the intersection of culture with learning styles, classroom dynamics, and effective teaching strategies to ensure all students receive appropriate educational opportunities. [1]
