Motivation to Teach Social Action:

I have been actively trying to promote student and faculty advocacy training for years. While I incorporate some elements of this in my courses, I feel it could be much stronger. My ENG 1020 and HUM 2020 courses focus on climate advocacy, and I look forward to engaging with likeminded faculty to become a better educator and civic activist.

Course Description:

ENG 1020 is the second-year composition course that focuses on conducting and conveying research in connection with The Future We Choose and a climate change.

HUM 2020 is a capstone course in which we focus on environmentalism and then work with a community partner later in the semester.
