Motivation to Teach Social Action:
What interests me most about Teaching Social Action is the opportunity to move students beyond simply learning about social problems and toward understanding how they can actively participate in creating change. As a social worker and future educator, I believe students should understand the systems, policies, and structural barriers that affect individuals and communities, but they should also develop the skills necessary to respond to those concerns.
