Motivation to Teach Social Action:

I teach courses on migration which have important policy implications. While students read a lot about immigration, they are most interested when I engage them with local leaders. I believe incorporating a hands-on social action project into my pedagogical approach will make the course even more fulfilling.

Course Description:

Theory and research on the causes and consequences of human migration. Sociological, social psychological, historical, and demographic perspectives.

Taught By:

Rebecca Karam
