The African-American Midwife During Antebellum Slavery
I have had the honor of presenting research to the 3rd year clerkship medical students I conducted for my midwifery degree (in 2003) where I documented an aspect of midwifery during enslavement. I use that information to illustrate the historical implications of the Black Maternal Health crisis. This Social Action course would be a great way to help solidify points regarding next steps and how we can move forward.
