Course Description:

A sociological investigation and analysis of the diversity of family structures and intimate relationships in society. Topics to be explored include the social history of the family, gender socialization and inequality, dating, divorce and remarriage, gay and lesbian relationships, the family as an economic unit, communication and conflict resolution, sexuality, interracial relationships, and domestic violence.
