Course Description:

My course-Social Action in Leadership Psychology- would delve into:

  • Social cognition, attitudes, violence, aggression, prosocial behavior, prejudice, and discrimination.
  • Self and social identity, group behavior, social influence, and interpersonal relationships.
  • Ethics in industrial and organizational (I-O) psychology, organizational behavior, and leadership.
  • Role of leadership in community development and social action, particularly in rural areas1
  • Theoretical frameworks like the Social Action, Leadership, and Transformation (SALT).

The course aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of social psychology concepts and their applications in leadership and organizational settings. It covers topics related to individual behavior, group dynamics, organizational practices, and the role of leadership in driving social change.
